India’s First FIFA Girls Talent Academy Launched in Hyderabad

India has achieved a major milestone in youth football with the launch of its first FIFA Talent Academy for girls in Hyderabad, following a landmark MoU between the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Government of Telangana. The announcement took place during the first Telangana Sports Conclave at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, in the presence of Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy, AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, and top dignitaries.

The academy, located at the Gachibowli Stadium Complex, will provide year-round elite training, residential facilities, education, medical care, nutrition, and mental wellness support to 60 young footballers30 U14 boys and 30 U16 girls, including 10 players from Telangana in each category.

Part of FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS), this initiative aims to identify, nurture, and develop India’s grassroots football talent, creating a pathway to U17 FIFA World Cups and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
